About Dan Duray
Dan Duray is a Brooklyn-based cultural communications professional with 15 years of experience in journalism and publicity. For six years, he was a senior director at the PR firm Cultural Counsel, which specializes in museums, art galleries and nonprofits. His clients there included Matthew Marks gallery, Magnolia Pictures, Brookfield Properties, Artist Rights Society, Petzel gallery, Skarstedt gallery, the Blanton Museum of Art in Austin, and Moscow's Garage Museum of Contemporary Art.
Before that he was a journalist, writing about culture for The Economist, The Guardian, New York magazine, Vanity Fair, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, W, Town & Country, VICE and Bookforum, among many other distinguished publications. He was on staff at The Art Newspaper, The New York Observer, and ARTnews, where he co-led an editorial rebrand.
